Now watching Gattaca. What future innovations could clean the DNA of anyone already born?
Apparently the "designer children" movement will soon give birth to genetically-perfect children, which will soon make way for perhaps a "GATTACA-styled" society wherein anyone born with clean genes (no defects, abilities enhanced to be superhuman, etc.) would have the advantage in society, while anyone born naturally would fall behind and be eligible for only menial jobs that robots and AI would perform better at anyway.. (I'm surprised I haven't seen a single robot / droid / android in "Gattaca" yet.)
We need to figure out how not to get left behind. How will we clean up and enhance our DNA so that we'll reach the par of those born with genetic enhancements?
